What it is

An immersive tour of revolutionary Boston.

Echoes of Revolution: Boston takes place in the streets of downtown Boston where the events of the American Revolution happened. Using the world of Assassin’s Creed® III and Assassin’s Creed® Rogue, and powered by Niantic Spatial, the app overlays a richly detailed 18th-century Boston onto the city you see around you today. Around ten location-based memories, roughly 90 minutes in total, all free to download and play. No prior knowledge of Assassin’s Creed or of video games is needed.

Historical foundation

Built with the historians at the heart of revolutionary Boston.

Echoes of Revolution: Boston is developed with the historical expertise and curatorial guidance of Revolutionary Spaces, Boston’s foremost organisation for Revolutionary-era history, managing the Old State House and the Old South Meeting House.

Every moment in the app is grounded in the historical record and shaped with Revolutionary Spaces. The result is an experience that’s faithful to the history, and one that a 14-year-old on a school visit, a Boston resident, a historian, or a first-time tourist can each meet on their own terms.
